Mr Green V’s family come from just outside Newcastle-Under-Lyme, which is fast becoming a bit of a vegan hotspot! Mr Green V’s mum discovered a new shop in the centre called True Obsession, and reported back to me that it sells a great range of vegan-friendly products. Tomasz, the owner of the shop, got in touch with me and asked if I would like to try out some of the vegan range from Stara Mydlarnia – a Polish brand that is sold in store at True Obsession. Sometimes it’s not always easy to get hold of vegan and cruelty-free products… View Post

Winter is upon us, and I don’t know about you, but my skin gets rather dry at this time of year. My face can always be relied upon to be oily – all year round, whatever the weather, the skin on my arms and legs, however, do not have that pleasure. Do you ever find that central heating is really drying? I do. Even though my face isn’t dry per se, it hasn’t been feeling its best – and I think it’s because of frequent flying, heating and the horrible cold weather. The lovely people over at Skintifique got in… View Post

I am so excited to tell you about a new brand that reached out to me recently. As you know, I love finding new vegan and cruelty-free products to write about, and Dolma Perfumes is one that you need to know about! Dolma Perfumes is a one-stop shop full of products for women and men, offering candles, body lotion, cosmetics and of course perfume. Back when I first transitioned to veganism, I was genuinely rather shocked to discover that a lot of those well-known perfume brands use animal substances in their fragrances. Not only is this pretty grim, it’s obviously… View Post

It’s finally here! I’m beyond excited to tell you kitty cats that my luxury, vegan and cruelty-free subscription box, TGV Luxe Edit, is now available to order! You know by now that I am an utter skincare junkie, and I also have a bit of a wanderlust problem, which is why I wanted to combine these two elements with veganism to offer you wonderful products each month, guaranteed to put a smile on your face. I like to think that by seeing that vegan products can be amazing quality and just luxurious as more widely used items, non-vegans and the… View Post

I am a huge Tints of Nature fan, I honestly love their products and have been using them consistently for a while now (read my other review of their hair dye, shampoo and conditioner here). So when I was offered the chance to try out their new dry shampoo I jumped at the opportunity! I’ve been doing a fair bit of travelling recently as I’ve been researching the best vegan-friendly locations for my book and series of guidebooks and one of the things I found annoying was the fact that my usual dry shampoo was too big to carry on… View Post

I’m a little bit in love. I have to admit, I’ve always struggled to find decent, reasonably priced products that are vegan and cruelty-free here in Belgium, which is why if you ever see me on the Eurostar from the UK I’ve usually got a tonne of Superdrug’s B range items with me, and other new products that I want to try out.. There are of course bio shops here that have a selection of suitable items, but they always seem to be really expensive, or (dare I say it) not very good. When I was contacted by the lovely… View Post

I’ve been travelling a lot over the past couple of months, and something I always suffer with is ‘plane face’. Yup, my skin does NOT like flying, and no matter how much water I drink, if I travel with no make-up on or hit up a load of hot water and lemon before and after my flight, I always suffer with breakouts. One of my favourite products I use to help bring my skin back to its normal state is Botanicals Gentle Cleanse Melt. Oh it is just heaven! I have quite oily skin, so I use the sensitive and… View Post

I am SO excited to introduce our guest writer today, Steven Foulkes from MADE Diamonds. I am ALL about luxury, but it is important to me to ensure that everything is sustainable, ethical and of course vegan. When I found MADE Diamonds I was thrilled, as (although no plans to get married just yet…) previously I had assumed that diamonds were out of the running for an engagement ring due to the lack of clarity often surrounding their manufacturing.  Happily, diamonds can still be our best friends, and Stephen is going to talk all about what you need to look out… View Post

Now I’m back from Italy, and getting adjusted to my new routine I thought it was about time I introduce you to another brand I’ve been really enjoying. One of my favourite things about my work is finding fantastic vegan and cruelty-free products to share with you. It’s so important to me because I think people often get a little overwhelmed when trying to find suitable products, or perhaps they aren’t quite sure what skincare and make-up items are even vegan. Don’t worry, I get it – I’ve been there, and it’s confusing! Then, there’s the trial and error of… View Post

You don’t have to be a detective to realise that I enjoy a nude lip. Occasionally I’ll flirt with a darker or more reddish lipstick (like this gorgeous one from Guilty Free which I reviewed here) but most of the time I tend to stick to what I feel suits me best.Recently, I was very kindly sent the Lippy Girl Vegocentric lipstick in shade Schmoopy from the organic and natural beauty distributors, Botanical Brands. Let me start off by saying, if you’re after that mysterious ‘your lips but better’ shade, then this is the post for you. Not only does this… View Post
