Mr Green V’s family come from just outside Newcastle-Under-Lyme, which is fast becoming a bit of a vegan hotspot! Mr Green V’s mum discovered a new shop in the centre called True Obsession, and reported back to me that it sells a great range of vegan-friendly products. Tomasz, the owner of the shop, got in touch with me and asked if I would like to try out some of the vegan range from Stara Mydlarnia – a Polish brand that is sold in store at True Obsession. Sometimes it’s not always easy to get hold of vegan and cruelty-free products… View Post

This year has been one of the most hectic I’ve ever had if I’m honest with you. It seems like I haven’t been in one place for too long and constantly working and creating behind the scenes. Of course, I love travel so I’m certainly not complaining (plus it’s all been research for my book and upcoming vegan city guides – whoop!), but sometimes I feel like (to quote Lord of the Rings), butter (vegan!) spread over too much bread. I’m hoping that I’ll have more time as we head to Christmas, once my current projects are completed… maybe 🙂… View Post

Guys – I have something really exciting to share with you. When I was back in the UK I had the chance to try out two meals from the very kind peeps over at Mindful Chef – and I was not disappointed! Mindful Chef is a food box company with a difference. The team is dedicated to providing amazing meals that not only taste delicious, but are free from refined carbs and dairy. Oh, and all meals are gluten-free too! Although there are meat/fish options available, a great deal of the offerings are 100% vegan! What is also really cool… View Post

I really enjoyed doing the Facebook Live today on my current favourite skincare products! I think I’ll do a few more focusing on different topics – so please let me know what you’d like to hear about. Next time I’ll talk about vegan make-up. You can watch the full video on Facebook here. As promised, all the items mentioned in my video can be found below: Cleanser: B Pure Sensitive Micellar Cleansing Wipes – Superdrug.  Paula’s Choice Pore Normalizing Cleanser  (international shipping available as they are based in NL) Gentle Cleanse Melt (normal, sensitive, combination skin) – Botanicals  (International shipping available,… View Post

Back in my non-vegan days, I was a bit of a fake tan addict – Fake Bake to be precise. However, after making the switch to vegan and cruelty-free products, and becoming lazy when it came to tanning, I stopped with the faux glow (oh, no). To be honest, as I am half Tunisian, I’m not exactly pale anyway, but my face has always been a couple of shades lighter than the rest of me… strange I know, and annoying. Anyway, I digress. A month or so ago I decided I needed to be browner – it makes you look… View Post

I am so excited to (finally) announce that I’m writing a book! The planning has been in the making for a wee while and it feels great to at last tell you all! The Contemporary Vegan is a guide to vegan living, without limits, designed to provide practical information and guidance, whether you’re already vegan or fancy learning a little more about the lifestyle. And guess what? I’m running a campaign on Publishizer which allows you a piece of the action! If you pre-order my book whilst the campaign runs (the next 30 days) then you’ll receive some goodies and bonuses!… View Post

I am so excited to tell you about The Really Good Box, which is a wonderful vegan, cruelty-free subscription box. Yay! Vegan treats sent directly to your home! I had the pleasure of receiving one a couple of weeks ago when I was home in the UK. This business is run and owned by the lovely Hannah Gittings (with help from her amazingly cute head of logistics, Shogun the dog) and she kindly sent me a box out to review for The Green V. The Really Good Box is dedicated to sourcing amazing cruelty-free and vegan products each month that… View Post

If you’ve followed me for a little while, you’ll know that the year before last I decided to dip my toe (or…rather my hair…) into the ombre trend. Although I loved the look, it just wasn’t for me and I ended up with damaged, broken hair. In a moment of madness, I decided to cut it all off and give myself a bob one night, around about this time last year. Note – I am not a hairdresser and I really didn’t do the best job! Thankfully, my hair is so thick and curly anyway it wasn’t really noticeable unless… View Post

In the never-ending quest to improve health and sporting performance, more and more athletes are focusing on their nutrition to ensure they are eating right to fuel their activity. Luckily, an ever-increasing number of firms are catering to this growing demand, offering up products that promise to provide needed energy and nutrition in easy to consume, healthy and sustainable products. UK based James White Drinks is the manufacturer of a variety of fruit and vegetable drinks, energy and snack products, and amidst a late winter cycling training regime we recently tested the four varieties of their Zinger Shots, alongside some… View Post

Hey kitty cats! So those of you who know me in real life will vouch for me when I say that I have a tendency to work full steam ahead, non-stop until I wind up exhausted. Why do I do this? Maybe it’s because I love what I do, I have so many ideas and plans for the future that I just get so giddy about it! Or perhaps it’s what I like to call ‘entrepreneur guilt’ – when you feel like taking time off from your work will result in nothing moving forward, a lack of income and that… View Post
