Well it’s been a minute or three since my last post so I thought I’d put ‘pen to paper’ as it were and check in with you lovely kitty cats. If you’ve been following me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook you will have realised that a lot has been going on recently.   First of all I am thrilled to tell you that I’m launching a luxury vegan subscription box that will be available in October. But! If you click here, you can enter a competition to get your paws on a free box each month plus the new range… View Post

I often travel between the UK and Belgium on the Eurostar if dates and pricing permit me to. I’ve always found it a much more enjoyable experience than flying direct in to Manchester for a number of reasons, but the main one is that it is (by far) a rather pleasurable journey to take. Of course, as with any international travel, there’s security to go through, passport control and ticket inspection. Yes, you have to get to the Eurostar in good time before your train departure, but not as early as you would for a flight! There’s something almost therapeutic… View Post

I am a huge Tints of Nature fan, I honestly love their products and have been using them consistently for a while now (read my other review of their hair dye, shampoo and conditioner here). So when I was offered the chance to try out their new dry shampoo I jumped at the opportunity! I’ve been doing a fair bit of travelling recently as I’ve been researching the best vegan-friendly locations for my book and series of guidebooks and one of the things I found annoying was the fact that my usual dry shampoo was too big to carry on… View Post

After a little Italian interlude, I want to whisk you away to another wonderfully vegan-friendly city: Berlin. You probably know that Berlin is pretty much a vegan mecca. However, this can come as somewhat of a surprise, especially when you think of the typically meat/sausage-heavy diet associated with traditional German cuisine. I headed off to the Big B in search of the best vegan food, to really get a feel of the city, and of course, to find out where a travelling vegan can lay her head for a couple of nights.   The Almodóvar hotel is located in the… View Post

Day 5 It was with a very heavy heart that we left Florence – I think both Mr Green V and I totally fell in love with the place, and we were really sad to leave our suite at Velona’s Jungle. But we will be back, so watch this space! We arrived mid-afternoon in Milan, and our hotel, the Starhotels E.c.ho was just opposite the train station, nice and easy! We stayed in a junior suite which had its very own balcony that overlooked some of the city’s skyscrapers and the station. Milan’s central train station is a stunning building, so… View Post

Day 3 It was time to leave Rome, and whilst we could have done with an extra day there, Florence was calling! I have always wanted to go to Florence, and learning how vegan-friendly it was made it even more important for me to visit it. We grabbed a light lunch from Roma Termini station before getting on the train. Happily there was a ‘vegano’ sandwich at Chef Express (a chain cafe across Italy, which also sells vegan croissants, but sadly today they had sold out!). The lady who served me was so lovely and gave me a free drink… View Post

If you’ve been following me on Instagram and Instagram Stories, you’ll have seen I’ve been in Italy for the past week. Well, Italy is well and truly my spirit animal, and I’m now back in Belgium, feeling a little sorry for myself and also feeling a little run down after being on the go, non-stop for the past couple of weeks. I’ve always adored Italy, since my first visit when I was 7, right through to teen travels there, and then of course my adult explorations in recent years. I suspect it’s that delightful Mediterranean charm that attracts me, the… View Post

I know where paradise is, but don’t worry, I’m not going to keep it to myself! As part of my research for my vegan guide to Mallorca, Mr Green V and I headed to the beautiful Balearic island on a mission to find the best places to recommend to you, my lovely readers. The good news – Mallorca is full of picturesque locations, the bad news – we had to leave and return to Belgium and normal life at the end of our trip. We stayed in the village of Valldemossa, set into the Tramuntana mountains about 20km outside Palma… View Post

I’m excited to continue my Petits Délices series after a little break, and what better way to reintroduce it than with my recent trip to Berlin! In case you didn’t know, Berlin is one hell of a cool city. It’s seriously über cool, and I absolutely love it. I’m currently writing a series of vegan travel guides and as part of my research I’m heading to some of the most fantastic cities in Europe to discover their vegan scenes and what they have to offer on the eco and sustainability front – all, of course, with a touch of luxury… View Post

Hello kitty cats, What’s new? I hope wherever you are right now the weather is as lovely as it is here in Brussels. The sun is out, the sky is blue and les terraces are full! This weekend was full of delicious vegan chocolate, and I can safely say that today I’ve really stepped up my fruit and veg game! On Saturday, the first two vegan chocolate workshops took place at the wonderful Laurent Gerbaud Chocolatier. We had a blast, and it was great to see so many people enjoy themselves! We’ll be doing another one later in the year,… View Post
