Review: Botanicals Gentle Cleanse Melt

Review: Botanicals Gentle Cleanse Melt

I’ve been travelling a lot over the past couple of months, and something I always suffer with is ‘plane face’. Yup, my skin does NOT like flying, and no matter how much water I drink, if I travel with no make-up on or hit up a load of hot water and lemon before and after my flight, I always suffer with breakouts. One of my favourite products I use to help bring my skin back to its normal state is Botanicals Gentle Cleanse Melt. Oh it is just heaven!

I have quite oily skin, so I use the sensitive and combination option, which I’ve been really happy with.

It smells absolutely divine, serious south of France vibes with the strong scent of lavender (I close my eyes and I’m in Provence…ah…). Not only does it smell gorgeous, it has a really hydrating texture, without being super greasy.

It works well as a make-up remover, especially when used with a muslin cloth. What I tend to do though, is remove my make-up using a wipe (I love these ones from Superdrug) and then massage some of the cleanser in to my skin. I spend a good 5 minutes doing this, and it feels so good – it gets the blood flowing to my face (hello DIY anti-aging) and feels like a mini spa treatment.

I leave it to ‘soak’ in for about 10-15 minutes before rinsing off with a hot muslin cloth before continuing with my routine (which you can see more of here).

I’ve been using the Gentle Cleanse Melt for a few months now, and I’m so impressed at the little amount you need to use – it really lasts well and I have so much left – hooray! The cleanse naturally works well as a make-up remover too, although I prefer to get the majority off first, and then use the cleanse to ensure my face is squeaky clean!

Depending on you skin type and preference, there are several different options available, which you can find on the Botanicals website here.

This product has to be one of my all-time favourites; it truly feels luxurious to use, it’s super effective and small enough to travel with, which very important for my lifestyle.

Botanicals’ products are vegan and of course cruelty-free. The brand is dedicated to providing items for you to enjoy that are as close to nature as possible, because we all know the power of plants.

You can buy your very own pot of joy from just £26 on the Botanicals website.
