Winter is upon us, and I don’t know about you, but my skin gets rather dry at this time of year. My face can always be relied upon to be oily – all year round, whatever the weather, the skin on my arms and legs, however, do not have that pleasure. Do you ever find that central heating is really drying? I do. Even though my face isn’t dry per se, it hasn’t been feeling its best – and I think it’s because of frequent flying, heating and the horrible cold weather. The lovely people over at Skintifique got in… View Post

You’ll know by now that I am an utter skincare junkie, which was part of the inspiration behind my luxury vegan subscription box, TGV Luxe Edit. But you might not know that I am also obsessed with haircare. Indeed, there are few things more enjoyable than a night of pampering and trying out fantastic vegan products to tell you, dear readers, all about! I was sent this Grapefruit Hair Remedy from Alchemy Oils to try out and review earlier this year, and after some consistent use, I’m ready to reveal all (oo-er). Not only are Alchemy Oils super chic in… View Post

I’m a little bit in love. I have to admit, I’ve always struggled to find decent, reasonably priced products that are vegan and cruelty-free here in Belgium, which is why if you ever see me on the Eurostar from the UK I’ve usually got a tonne of Superdrug’s B range items with me, and other new products that I want to try out.. There are of course bio shops here that have a selection of suitable items, but they always seem to be really expensive, or (dare I say it) not very good. When I was contacted by the lovely… View Post

I’ve been travelling a lot over the past couple of months, and something I always suffer with is ‘plane face’. Yup, my skin does NOT like flying, and no matter how much water I drink, if I travel with no make-up on or hit up a load of hot water and lemon before and after my flight, I always suffer with breakouts. One of my favourite products I use to help bring my skin back to its normal state is Botanicals Gentle Cleanse Melt. Oh it is just heaven! I have quite oily skin, so I use the sensitive and… View Post

Now I’m back from Italy, and getting adjusted to my new routine I thought it was about time I introduce you to another brand I’ve been really enjoying. One of my favourite things about my work is finding fantastic vegan and cruelty-free products to share with you. It’s so important to me because I think people often get a little overwhelmed when trying to find suitable products, or perhaps they aren’t quite sure what skincare and make-up items are even vegan. Don’t worry, I get it – I’ve been there, and it’s confusing! Then, there’s the trial and error of… View Post

I really enjoyed doing the Facebook Live today on my current favourite skincare products! I think I’ll do a few more focusing on different topics – so please let me know what you’d like to hear about. Next time I’ll talk about vegan make-up. You can watch the full video on Facebook here. As promised, all the items mentioned in my video can be found below: Cleanser: B Pure Sensitive Micellar Cleansing Wipes – Superdrug.  Paula’s Choice Pore Normalizing Cleanser  (international shipping available as they are based in NL) Gentle Cleanse Melt (normal, sensitive, combination skin) – Botanicals  (International shipping available,… View Post

Back in my non-vegan days, I was a bit of a fake tan addict – Fake Bake to be precise. However, after making the switch to vegan and cruelty-free products, and becoming lazy when it came to tanning, I stopped with the faux glow (oh, no). To be honest, as I am half Tunisian, I’m not exactly pale anyway, but my face has always been a couple of shades lighter than the rest of me… strange I know, and annoying. Anyway, I digress. A month or so ago I decided I needed to be browner – it makes you look… View Post

If you’ve followed me for a little while, you’ll know that the year before last I decided to dip my toe (or…rather my hair…) into the ombre trend. Although I loved the look, it just wasn’t for me and I ended up with damaged, broken hair. In a moment of madness, I decided to cut it all off and give myself a bob one night, around about this time last year. Note – I am not a hairdresser and I really didn’t do the best job! Thankfully, my hair is so thick and curly anyway it wasn’t really noticeable unless… View Post

A lot of people don’t realise that most nail polish is actually not vegan, or cruelty-free. Weird, nasty ingredients include: Guanine/ Pearl Essence – Taken from fish scales to produce a shimmery, pearly, glittery effect Oleic Acid – Taken from tallow and other animal fat and often used to thicken consistency of polish Carmine – A red colour which is produced from boiling and crushing of beetles. Can also be called cochineal and used in other substances. I know people will always try and dispute the inclusion of unexpected animal ingredients in every day items, but sadly, it is true and all… View Post

With Valentine’s Day just a couple of days away, I thought it would be nice to try something a little different, and put together a Valentine’s inspired make up look for you. I was very kindly sent some gorgeous make up items from Guilty Free, a new vegan, organic, natural and cruelty-free make up line that has just launched. Guilty Free sent me a beautiful bronzer, an eyeshadow and a lipstick, so I used my normal daily make up products, with Guilty Free’s trio of beauty taking centre stage. First impressions: I love the pigment of the Guilty Free products.… View Post
